Susan's posting about The Giver (which happens to be one of my all-time favorite books because it raises so many social-political issues for readers to consider) prompted me to ask:
What did you enjoy reading over the break?

I've read many books over the break - a number of them were books you wrote about on your final exams or in your reading records! For the adolescent lit course I'll be teaching at the UA this semester, I'm doing an author study of Jacqueline Woodson. She'll be the keynote speaker at the conference we're attending on March 4th. Last night, I started Behind You - and found myself awake in the middle of the night, unable to sleep until I finished it. I will share my author study with you before the conference. I'm so excited to meet and hear Jacqueline Woodson in person!
